I strongly disagree.Seniors are an asset to the team, they are very experienced and strong mentally.Besides,a player can play as long as he is performing well and passes the fitness test.Look at players like Sachin, Sourav(recently retired), Dravid, Laxman, Lara, Warne, Muralitharan, Inzamam, Jayasuriya and Alec Stewart. Some of these players have retired but they played till an age of 35 or more.And each and every one of these players are LEGENDS.And youngsters are finding their way in world cricket.The fight for the youngster spots must be between youngsters only.

If you can still play cricket well, then you should keep playing. Look at Jayasuriya. He’s close to 40, yet he still plays at a high level.

If they are better than younger players then only would they be selected so why retire them.
