How many years of service is required from retirement from a County service?

If I get a job from a County govt, what’s the required minimum number of years of service to be eligible for retirement? 20 years?

    depends on the job………………….clerical are longer.jobs and police are shorter

    I suppose it depends on the state but here in Kentucky 20 years was for hazardous duty jobs (police, corrections etc)
    there was a longer length of time required for other county positions. Check with your county to see if this is the same
