It might be helpful to tell people where you are located if you intend for this to be something done in person.

If you don’t, then it would also be helpful to say that.

It’s easier to train someone with no knowledge than to break bad habits and retrain someone who thinks they know.

Go to the academy and learn at the pace of everyone else. They WILL teach it to you so let them. Someone else may teach you in a way that the academy doesn’t want you to know.

Start polishing your boots now…that’s the best preparation advice I could give you. Start exercising and polish your boots! Good luck!

No. Well prepared for what? The academy is supposed to prepare you for the job. Most candidates have no prior law enforcement experience.
