You could have people bring white elephant gifts. THoseare silly presents that would just make a person laugh, but the would not actually use. Do something to try to make him laugh. You are less likely to remember something if it isn’t funny.

While it’s not an activity, passing around a journal type book for everyone to write a memory in would make great reading material for dad to pick up and look at now and again. Sentimental or not, memories that make you smile are priceless.

Make a list and call it Fish Tales.
Make several things that are true about your dad that people would never have known , and then make several that are false, read them out loud and by a show of hands, have people guess if it’s a fish tale/ or true story. Your dad will like hearing things from his past or things you have noticed about him while growing up and the guests will love learning more things about the guest of honor!
