What part-time jobs can i get at the age of 14?

I’m 13 turning 14 at the start of summer. I want to get a part-time summer job since i want to earn some money. My parents can’t afford to get me a cell phone or allowance for highschool so i figured that i’d have to earn it myself. My father is retired and my mother is already stressing out paying for the bills/mortgage. So i want to help pay for small things.

I heard that at 14 it’s possible to get a part time job. But i’m not entirely sure. Can anyone tell me what jobs i can possibly apply for? (Like fast food restaurants, assitance or what?)
And please don’t mention babysitting since there is pretty much no one i can babysit. Is it possible for me to do cashier work or work 8 hours a everyday in the summer? Is 14 too young for all this?
(And by the way, i was born in 1994 if that helps)
And sorry if this is in the wrong category!

At 14 you don’t have many options because laws prevent it. Babysitting, paper routes, odd jobs here and there, maybe look for summer daycamps. You can’t work fulltime hours at 14. You can’t run a cash register or work certain hours. You can’t do really much at all because of child labor laws. You may find a local store willing to hire you for bagging but that is also unlikely. Here you can’t get hired until 15 years old and even then there isn’t much. You can’t even work fast food at 14.

honestly, when i was 14 i found that the best way to make some quick money was run around your neighborhood and ask anybody whos lawn doesnt look perfect if u can mow it. People will pay much more if you edge and weed-eat. This can tough if u dont have your own tools but im sure you can somehow work your parents into buying them…just dont say you want to use them for other peoples grass
