<a href="http://kansieo.com">jobs retired</a>

My 71 year old father, who was retired, decided to join me in a home business, mostly for the social aspect. He soon found that because of his age, he knew a lot of people who had a variety of health issues, and the product we market has been helping so many people with things like insomnia, arthritis, headaches, back pain, etc. that he ended up with a lot of great customers! He's having a ball and his income has far surpassed his pension. He also enjoys travelling to different places for conventions and things, his life is truly enhanced now. He also likes that he doesn't have to work if he doesn't feel like it, he feels very free.

A lieutenant what? And what are his interests. He needs to get out and either get himself a part time job, or volunteer at youth centers or retirement homes or somewhere!

If he stays active, then he will stay healthy.

Maybe he can take up a new hobby, like ballroom dancing?

<a href="http://mycaffeinatedcontent.com">Create a video blog</a>

I guess life is tough when you're used to someone always telling you what to do, as opposed to figuring it out for yourself.

GO FISHING! TAKE A TRIP TO A TROPICAL ISLAND! RELAX ALREADY DANG IT!
When my boys tell me they are bored, I tell them to clean...there's no shortage of work around here!

Not at all uncommon.

Have him find a part time job, and acept it for what it is. A parttime job. But it IS a job, and could lead to full time work.nd being part time, he has time to look for something better.

Meanwhile, a trip to a counselor might be in order. I am not intending this as a slam on your father. A couple visits may assure him it's ok to feel this way, All his career he has been in charge of something, notsomething is in charge of him and he is having difficulty accepting this.

Very common. Very common.

What type of lieutenant was he? Military or police?

In either case, I'd recommend him looking positions in education. Many schools most jrotc programs and you never know, he may like it.

He could become a police instructor too. If there is a police academy nearby, he should look into the qualifications of being an instructor.

Hope that helps.

Many of my clients hire retirees to do a variety of different jobs. You didn't mention how old your father is, but I would say he can do whatever he wants. The pressure for money shouldn't be a problem, as I am assuming after 21 years, he is receiving some retirement.

Tell him to pick something he enjoys and start looking. Many that I know of work in automotive industry, either in sales, or parts. Most have no pressure and enjoy the job.
